Microsoft and Other Companies Hiring Military Spouses

Carl Buhler

The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is an advocate for the professional development and employment of veterans and their spouses. To that end, MOAA collaborates with the United States Chamber of Commerce on two programs called "Hiring Our Heroes" and "Hiring 100,000 Military Spouses."

Due to the Hiring 100,000 Military Spouses program, several prominent companies are implementing strategies to employ more military spouses. Microsoft, for example, recently announced it would launch a Military Spouse Technology Academy in the fall. Amazon, Starbucks, and Prudential are some of the other companies that have signed on to the Hiring 100,000 Military Spouses program.

The author, Brigadier General (retired) Carl Buhler, drawing upon his almost 30 years of military experience, serves as the CEO of Buhler Consulting, LLC which specializes in aerospace, production, manufacturing, and defense. Maintaining affiliation with numerous military organizations, Carl Buhler is a member of MOAA.
